Volcanic Research in Czech Republic

My colleague Terence Garcia and I (Jacob Erickson) applied and got accepted for an IRES grant research experience in the Czech Republic. Our job was to document the various aspects of the trip (pre-planning, packing, airport, arrival, research, cultural experiences, etc) through photography and video, edit cultural and research videos for publication usage and for website design.

Covid Cultural Project

Emergency Cultural Project

This project was an emergency call out response to cultural institutions in need of help moving projects over to digital outlets or creating a digital version of a physical exhibition. The following article details one of the projects that took place, and then follows it up talking about the mentorship experience as a whole. My duty was to help the National Hispanic Cultural Center digitize their DVD collection which spans the last decade. I’m proud to have served a cultural institution in a time of need and uncertainty.
